Heavy Lifting Equipment Inspections

What Mevas inspects for the global customers

Next to our service of crane inspections we check the condition of any other used lifting equipment as well. If someone intends to purchase heavy lifting equipment from unknown suppliers or if reliable information about condition is missing our service can help determining the real condition. Mevas is not trading. Our service is inspection only.

Reach Stacker Inspections

Our engineers are available to inspect reach stackers or container handlers. No matter if those are with a machinery trader or in a port, we can go to inspect. Our reachstacker inspection includes a functional test as long as the intermodal spreader is attached and a container is available on site. Talk to the seller about machine testing on site and let us know your requirements. Of course we do an examination of all machine components such as chassis, boom, engine, transmission, hydraulic system and load limitation system. We check tires and brakes, final drives and container locks. Last but not least an approval of the cab interior, lightning and air conditioner is included. With our machine test you can decide from distance if the unit is worth the money. After the inspection you receive a detailed inspection checklist, fotos and video.

Fork-Lift and Telehandler Expertise

Forklift trucks are not our speciality. However, we can inspect those as well. It usually only makes sense if it is a heavy forklift truck or if you have a small fleet. Otherwise the Mevas service might be too expensive. Telehandlers belong to our standard inspection services. We have inspected a hundred units of Merlo, Manitou, Caterpillar, JCB, Dieci and other brands. We pay special attention to twisted booms, attachments, engines and axles. Do you need an inspection of any machine that can lift someting? Talk to us. We can do!

Process Equipment

Mevas inspects used heavy machinery since 2006. During the years the team has inspected more than 400 material handlers, process equipment and other handling equipment in scrap yards, in ports, on vessel discharge stations and in the industry. We inspected man lifts, scissor lifts, self propelled platforms and spider lifts. Indeed we would inspect any machine that can lift something or somebody. Cranes on trucks, cranes in the port, tower cranes or self-errecting cranes belong to our range of inspection services.
